Justice League superheroes were first made up of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Cyborg. Justice League then grew bigger, and more superheroes joined such as Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Captain Marvel and many more.

The World of DC Exhibition in Tropicana Gardens Mall will be home to “The World of DC Exhibition”, which will be the first launch in Asia. Powered by WOW Event Asia, the official organiser for this all-new DC exhibition, “The World of DC Exhibition” will run from 23 December 2022 to 1 April 2023, featuring movie props, concept art, costumes, life-size exhibits and interactive elements, along with exclusive merchandise celebrating iconic DC Super Heroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman together with Super-Villains such as Harley Quinn, Joker and El Diablo.

The exhibition is home to 6 zones dedicated to specific characters from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) – Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Birds of Prey and the Suicide Squad. You can view detailed replicas of character costumes and props up-close, each one made so realistic as if they came straight out from the films. Some of our favourites include the display of the classic Superman suit and Wonder Woman’s glowing Lasso of Truth.

Visualise the world of the DCEU and key moments from the films with over 100 original concept artworks that give visitors a unique behind-the-scenes perspective, as well as life-sized exhibits that literally bring these scenes to life. The exhibition is made more immersive with a few state-of-the-art motion-sensing games and interactive displays, video projections, as well as various photo opportunities. ► DC Comics is one of the largest and oldest American comic book companies, with their first comic under the DC banner being published in 1937. The majority of its publications take place within the fictional DC Universe and feature numerous culturally iconic heroic characters, such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Cyborg, as well as famous fictional teams including the Justice League, the Justice Society of America, the Justice League Dark, the Doom Patrol, and the Teen Titans. DC Studios (formerly known as DC Films) is an American film, television, and animation studio that is a division of Warner Bros. which is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). It is dedicated to the production of films, series, and animations based on characters from DC Comics, among them is their flagship franchise, the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

During DC’s National era, the company licensed Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman (and other All-American Comics characters) to Republic Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Columbia Pictures for advertising serials and shorts. Other comic characters, such as Fawcett Comics’ Shazam and Quality Comics’ Plastic Man (which ultimately sold to DC), also had a serial short.

Warner Bros. had plans to bring various DC Comics superheroes together in films since 2002, when Wolfgang Petersen was set to direct a crossover of the Superman and Batman film franchises. After a planned Justice League film was put on hold in 2008 and initial universe plans were scrapped due to the critical and commercial disappointment of the 2011 film Green Lantern, Warner Bros. established this shared universe in 2013.

The DCEU began with the film Man of Steel (2013), a reboot of the Superman film series, followed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), which served as a reboot of the Batman film series. These films were followed by more than a dozen films, and was expanded to include television series for the streaming service HBO Max in 2022, beginning with Peacemaker. Following the restructuring of DC Studios and the appointment of James Gunn and Peter Safran in 2022, the franchise will be largely rebooted with the release of The Flash, leading into the DC Universe films and television series planned by Gunn and Safran.

The DCEU is the ninth-highest-grossing film franchise of all time, having grossed over $6.2 billion at the global box office. Its highest-grossing film, Aquaman, earned over $1.15 billion worldwide and became the highest-grossing DC Comics-based film to date. Reception to the franchise has generally been mixed among critics and fans.
